Diabetes Care Program of Nova Scotia (DCPNS) Website Discussion Forum User Guide
The DCPNS is pleased to offer a "Discussion Forum" on its Website. This has been designed for healthcare professionals working in Diabetes Centres in Nova Scotia to share ideas and opinions on diabetes-related issues. Access will be limited to educators working in the 38 Diabetes Centres in Nova Scotia. A user name and password will be provided to this select group by the DCPNS. The following is a step by step guide to help you navigate through the "Discussion Forum." POST A QUESTION/COMMENT
Step 1:	Visit the DCPNS website at www.diabetescareprogram.ns.ca
Step 2:	Click on "Forum" (found on the left-hand side of the screen in black).
Step 3:	Enter your User ID and Password (provided by DCPNS). This will bring you to the Forum Index page. If you forgot your password or would like to change your password, click on "Forgot your password?" or "Change your password!" and follow the instructions provided.
Step 4:	Click on one of the six (6) topic areas (Diabetes Operations, Diabetes in General, IFG/IGT, Pregnancy and Diabetes, type 1 Diabetes, and Type 2 Diabetes) from which you wish to pose a question/comment.
Step 5:	Click on "Post Topic" to pose a question/comment. Complete the information requested in the "Post a Message" window (subject and message [question/comment] you wish to post). If you do not wish to post anything at this time, choose "Forum Index" to return to the previous screen.
Step 6:	Click on "Send Message" once you have formulated your question(s)/comment(s). Your question(s)/comment(s) and any replies will remain posted for a maximum of 30 days. To edit the question(s)/comment(s) you just posted, click on the "Edit" button and make the necessary changes. Click on the "Send Message" button to post the revised question(s)/ comment(s).
Note:	To pose a question(s)/comment(s) in a different topic area(s), return to the "Forum Index" page and follow steps 4 to 6.
REPLY TO A QUESTION/COMMENT
Step 1:	Log in to the Discussion Forum by following steps 2 and 3 noted above. This will bring you to the Forum Index page. Under each topic, the number of questions/comments posted will be indicated; for example, 0, 1, 2, etc.
Step 2:	Click on one of the six (6) topic areas you wish to view.
Step 3:	Click on the question/comment you wish to view by clicking on the appropriate subject listed in the table. Read the question(s)/comment(s) and any replies that may have been made. If you wish to reply, proceed to step 4. If you wish to read other postings, click on "Forum Topic(s)" to return to the previous screen.
Step 4:	Click on "Reply to Topic" button. Enter your reply in the "Message" box.
Step 5:	Clcik on "Send Message" once you have formulated your reply. This will remain posted for a maximum of 30 days. To edit the reply you just posted, click on the "Edit" button and make the necessary changes. Click on the "Send Message" button to post the revised reply.
Note:	To reply to other questions/comments, return to the "Forum Index" page and follow steps 2 to 5.
